Service questions
How much does a paddle dryer cost?
Price depends on capacity, material of construction, heating medium, automation and scope (dryer only or full system). We size the dryer from your sludge data and send a firm proposal within one working day. Request a quote.
What is the payback period?
Payback comes from lower disposal and transport cost plus any fuel value of the dried product – one 500 kg/day installation showed roughly 12–13 months on its project data. Use the calculator or ask for a free site-specific calculation.
How much fuel does drying take?
Drying sludge from 80% to about 20% moisture takes roughly 1 kg of wood per 5 kg of sludge, 1 kg of coal per 8.25 kg, 1 Nm³ of natural gas per 22.5 kg, or 1 kg of LDO per 21 kg. Exact figures are confirmed in your proposal.
Can dried sludge be burnt in my boiler?
Dried sludge at roughly 2,000–4,000 kcal/kg can be co-fired with coal – typically 10–15% substitution – subject to boiler design, ash handling and pollution-control conditions. Verify with a fuel test first.
Is the pilot trial free?
The pilot trial is offered on a paid basis, and the trial fee is waived when you confirm the order. It can be run on our 25 kg/hr pilot dryer at our Vatva facility or at your site. Book a pilot trial.
Do you offer spares, repair, retrofit or rental?
Yes – OEM spares, repair, shaft retrofitting, on-site service, AMC and operator training. Ask our service team about rental units.
